Election Day

Jane is running for Coquitlam City Council to bring steady, inclusive, and community-focused leadership to the decisions that shape everyday life in our city.
I’ve been proud to call Coquitlam home for nearly 20 years, and I currently live in River Springs with my family. As a parent of three children attending schools in School District 43, my connection to this community runs deep both personally and professionally.
I work as an Education Assistant and am a proud member of CUPE 561. Beyond my work in schools, I also support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes, which has strengthened my commitment to inclusion and compassionate care.
My involvement in the community extends well beyond my professional roles. I serve as a Nature Ambassador with the Lower Coquitlam River Nature Association and volunteer with organizations across the Tri-Cities. Whether I’m helping children, supporting environmental initiatives, or assisting in the rescue of injured wildlife, I believe in giving back and staying connected to the people and places that make our community special.
I’m running for Coquitlam City Council because I care deeply about the future of our city. I believe everyone deserves access to a safe and affordable place to call home. As Coquitlam grows, we need a range of housing options for people at every stage of life, from young adults to seniors, and that growth should be thoughtfully planned near transit, with the necessary support of parks, schools, and community spaces.
At the same time, we must balance growth with safety, environmental responsibility, and affordability. My priorities include addressing the rising cost of living, ensuring community safety resources keep pace with population growth, improving compassionate responses to mental health challenges, tackling climate change, reducing traffic congestion, and keeping costs like property taxes manageable.
At the heart of my campaign is a commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community: a home where people of all ages and backgrounds feel supported, connected, and able to thrive.
